When I grow up, I want to be a superhero. To fly around the world and save the day. I want to be the one that inspires people to do good, that challenges people to become better people. Every child has a dream to one day become the role model of thousands, to lead humans to a better future. But as time goes by and as we grow up, that dream begins to fade, ever so slightly. We realize that it's impossible to be a superhero. Impossible to have those powers to fly, to fade through walls or teleport. But deep down we never truly let go of that goal. To be somebody, someone, worthwhile.
I want to be a superhero. Someone who actually has the power to change the world. Someone who could actually do something if their loved ones were in trouble.
I want to be a superhero. But I can't. I have no powers, I have no magic. I am merely me and all I can do is sit here and watch. You can't save people, they have to save themselves. And until they do that, all you can do is watch. Because you aren't a superhero, and you never will be.
