"we are motionless"

into a forest

Fill this out and post it in the comments, then I'll tell you why. Be descriptive if you'd like!

You are taking a walk in the country.
You come to a forest:
What does it look like?
Describe the trees, light, sounds, weather, etc.

You come to a path:
What does it look like?
Steep, wide, even, rough, stone, dirt etc?

You see a cup:
What does it look like?
What do you do with it?

You see a Key:
What does it look like?
What do you do with it?

You see water:
What does it look like?
What do you do there?

You see a bear:
What does it look like?
What happens?

You see a wall:
What does it look like?
What do you there? Can you see on the other side?
What do you see?

I did this back in high school. It was a rather fun experience as I recall. But I think a lot of my views have changed in the past few years so I thought it would be fun to do the same thing and see what the results came out as. In any case it's best if you fill out your answers without looking at mine. [= So I'll keep my own answers private until at least one or two of you guys post then I'll edit with an update!

Hooray! Whelps, here are the answers. ;) I'm not sure how accurate this truly is but it's fun!

Forest = Your outlook on life

Path = The journey you've taken so far in life

Cup = Wealth

"
The cup is symbolic of wealth and your approach to it. The question gave you the chance to see any sort of cup. A tea cup, a sporting trophy, a tin cup, even a steaming cup of coffee! This question gave you the opportunity to reward yourself. If you said you saw a cup that appeared valuable then you rewarded yourself with something of value to you. If you didn't see a valuable cup then you didn't give yourself a reward when the opportunity arose.

If you left the cup alone you were given the chance to take a reward but left it behind you. Either wealth has no real value to you or wealth is something you think you've got to work for.

If you picked the cup up and then put it down again you were given the chance to take a reward and then you found an immediate use for the cup and used it there and then. Many people see a cup of tea or coffee and drink it. Did you do something similar? You left the chance for a reward behind you and found a practical use for the cup. You took a 'here and now' approach to the reward.

If you used the cup but then left it behind it means that you were given the chance to take a reward, you were curious enough to pick the cup up, but left it behind you. Either wealth has no real value to you or wealth is something you think you've got to work for.

If you took the cup with you then you probably saw a cup that was in some way valuable to you. You saw the chance to quickly reward yourself with easy pickings and you took it."

I've also heard interpretations where the cup represented marriage and relationships. But I can't seem to find that one ;o;.

Key = Knowledge

Water = Sex (hahahahah xD)

"
Water is symbolic of sex. The depth and speed of the water you see is indicative of your attitude, appetite and approach to sex.

The speed at which you see water moving is an indicator of you appetite for sex. But, not necessarily your need. The slower the water, the lower your appetite. The faster the water, the greater your appetite.

The depth of the water is an indicator of how you see and what you want from sex. If you saw shallow water then you are not particularly concerned about how you reach fulfillment. If you saw fast moving water too, 'little and often' is for you. If you saw deep waters then you are more likely to get true fulfillment from deep and intense lovemaking. For you, still waters run deep.

The ease with which you cross the water is an indicator of your attitude and approach to sex. The more easily you crossed the water, the more comfortable or liberal you are likely to be in your approach to sex."

Bear = Problems

"
The bear is symbolic of problems and how you deal with them. The question gave you the chance to see a problem. If you saw a teddy then in relative terms your life is stress free and when given a problem you see a challenge or opportunity instead. You are pretty happy with life too.

If you saw a real bear then you are more likely to see problems rather than opportunities or challenges. People under routine stress will see large and very dangerous bears.

Equally a bear you're ignoring or was ignoring you, is indicative of how you see stress and problems when they're presented to you.

If the bear hasn't seen you or has seen you but is doing cute 'bear type' things then you don't have many real problems in your life. You're not under everyday stress or worry. Given the chance to see a problem, you didn't see one.

If the bear has seen you but is minding his own business then whilst you have the usual problems in your life, you're not under unhealthy levels of stress or worry.

If the bear has seen you and is looking threatening you need a holiday! You're under high levels of stress or worry.

How you get round the bear is indicative of how you deal with problems and how you resolve them. If you answered that you were considering adoption then you have a very healthy approach to life's challenges."

Wall = Death

"How you see the wall is how you visualize death. How strong is the wall, how tall, how far? What you see past the wall represents your view of the afterlife.

Here were my answers:

You come to a forest:
What does it look like? It's quiet and only the sound of the leaves rustling from the gentle breeze can be heard. The forest is filled with luscious green trees with light from the high sun trickling through the high branches onto the forest floor. It is peaceful, quiet and extremely serene.

You come to a path:
What does it look like?
It is a fairly decent sized dirt path, much like a small hiking trail. It moves with the forest making abrupt twists and turns wherever nature leads it. It is a relatively faint path showing that it hasn't been traveled by many before.

You see a cup:
What does it look like? There is a small blue cup laying on the floor. It appears as if it was a delicate piece of China. Odd as it seems really out of place in the forest. The cup itself seems actually pretty new except for the fact that there is a big crack along one side of it and a part of it has been chipped off.
What do you do with it? I place the cup where I found it and leave it there.

You see a Key:
What does it look like? The key is small and gold with a circular handle. One can tell it's been used a lot as there are a lot of battle scratches (from the door) on it. However, it seems like it's relatively new to the forest as there are no signs of major rusting or aging to it.
What do you do with it? It could be useful later so I put it in my pocket and take it with me.

You see water:
What does it look like? It is a vast lake that stretches far in both the right and left direction. However, the land on the other side can still be seen. The lake is calm and quiet. Surprisingly there aren't any animals around. The water is extremely cold but relatively clean.
What do you do there? I take my time to explore the area around the lake trying to see if there's anything cool I can find.

You see a bear:
What does it look like? It's a big brown grizzly bear.
What happens? Well the bear is busy eating berries and I'd rather not disturb his meal so I leave him be and continue on my way.

You see a wall:
What does it look like? There is a, seemingly random, concrete wall in the middle of the forest. It is extremely hard, rigid and out of place. But the fact remains that it probably can't be broken by anything other then a sledgehammer or some really powerful dynamite.
What do you there? Can you see on the other side? I examine the wall to find that it seems relatively new. There aren't any crumbling pieces or anything of the sort. The surface is really rough and uneven. I can see the other side of the wall very easily, actually. In fact, the wall is only about arms length wide. It's as if someone tore off a piece of some random building and place it in the middle of a forest.
What do you see? On the other side is more forest. Yay!

"this time is ours"
"Here's what I think, Mr. Wind-Up Bird," said May Kasahara. "Everybody's born with some different thing at the core of their existence. And that thing, whatever it is, becomes like a heat source that runs each person from the inside. I have one too, of course. Like everybody else. But sometimes it gets out of hand. It swells or shrinks inside me, and it shakes me up. What I'd really like to do is find a way to communicate that feeling to another person. But I can't seem to do it. They just don't get it. Of course, the problem could be that I'm not explaining it very well, but I think it's because they're not listening very well. They pretend to be listening, but they're not, really. So I get worked up sometimes, and I do some crazy things."
